I saw this on a Colombian birth certificate the other day. Of course, I translated it as Sex (in letters). Nevertheless my naturally inquisitive translator's mind asked the question "Can you have Sex (in numbers)?" Would you put 1 for male and 2 for female? Maybe sex in symbols? Morse code?
